Ticket prices are $10 for adults and $7 for children. Tickets include dinner, which will be served from 5-6:30 pm. Advance ticket sales help us manage our food orders to ensure there is enough for all. Ticket sales start next week in the daycare hallway during pick-up time.
This year’s carnival theme features a bouncy castle and fun games and prizes for the kids, while grown ups will enjoy our silent auction, gift basket raffle and yummy bake sale. (Sign up sheets for bake sale contributions are already posted).
The delicious highlight of our event will be our first-ever baking contest, judged by celebrity guest Roseanne, the owner of Bakerbots Baking on Delaware Ave. Enter your best pumpkin pie or chocolate chip cookies. And for those who just enjoy the artistic part of baking, be sure to enter the gingerbread house decorating contest! If baking isn’t your thing, you can still enjoy the efforts of others by making a bid on the goods, which will be auctioned off after the competition.
To support our event, each family is asked in advance to donate items to the gift baskets that will be raffled off at the end of the night. Each room is collecting for a basket representing a specific theme. Themes for each room are as follows:
- Room 103: Master chef & baker
- Room 104: Arts and Crafts
- Room 105: Lego Lovers
- Room 109: Movie night
- Room 114: Game night
- Room 213: Winter fun
Please consider making a basket, bake sale or cash donation to our event even if your schedule does not allow you to attend. All the proceeds raised go to support the programs delivered, excursions enjoyed and supplies needed to enrich our childrens’ time at the one and only, Hawthorne-on-Essex Daycare!
